New to MNA: MNA Blog

MNA initiated an operating Blog site in October 2008.  Go to the "MNA Blog" tab.

"One--in Work and Worship" was the theme of the 2009 Annual Convention of MNA and MMA.  Watch for reports in the fall issue of Mennonite Health Journal.

During the Convention members of the Study Team formed after the 2008 Convention reported and helped direct next steps.  Convention participants gave support for development of a new association of health-care providers to include the constituencies of both Mennonite Nurses Association and Mennonite Medical Association as well as those from other related disciplines.

The Boards of both MNA and MMA met several times to assess Convention participants' response and are drafting a joint communication to members which will set in motion the process for dissolving the both MNA and MMA to move to a new association/fellowship.  Watch for that in the next few weeks.  Members will be invited to vote on whether to keep the process moving.

The MNA Board endorses and encourages the current direction, with an eye to planning for celebrations in 2010 and inviting the new by the end of next year.  An MNA budget was approved through 2010.
